Roses Latin American Fashion Summit Rosaprima Roses Fashion Event

One of the most prestigious fashion and design events in Latin America. L.A.F.S partnered with Rosaprima and Fleurs de Villes this year to bring an iconic designer gown to life! If you’re not familiar with Fleur de Villes, they are a fantastic organization that combines flowers and design to create life-like displays for experiential events. Their keen eye and creative talents rendered a stunning Carolina Herrera dress in beautiful flowers – including Rosaprima roses. Tina Barkley, the founder of Fleurs de Villes, explains that roses are their favorite flower to work with because of their solid yet delicate character, “The Rosaprima selection is the best there is, so we are always excited to create with Rosaprima.”

Hayal Flowers was the florist who worked on this intricate project and exceptionally brought the dress to life, “… Hayal Flowers then takes things to the next level to build a dress that explodes with the essence of the dress,” Barkley exclaims. Hayal utilized a combination of colors and textures by using varieties like Wasabi, Tibet, Ocean Song, Sweet Escimo, Idole, and textures in garden roses, including David Austin Juliet and Patience. The multicolored shapes and sizes of the different products formed an illustrious gown that joined several mediums of art into one.

Rosaprima was honored to participate in an event as notable as L.A.F.S. The Latin American Fashion Summit is an organization that aims to leverage fashion entrepreneurs within Latin America. Founders Estefanía Lacayo and Samantha Tamsout realized a plethora of talent coming from the region but a lack of access to resources that would otherwise allow these fashion entrepreneurs to thrive. Thus, L.A.F.S was born as an initiative to connect Latin-American designers to fashion leaders who can mentor, guide, and partner with them to leverage Latin-American fashion and design globally. Estefanía and Samantha knew that having access to content was not enough; after all, anyone can hear a speech from a  leading fashion icon online. The ultimate goal is to garner collaborations between the two groups – that is the key to lasting success.

The opportunity to showcase our products at such an event was priceless, representing the beauty found in roses and getting to be a part of high fashion in Latin America, where we find our roots.
